| | [Events]: Project Ethos Fashion Show (PART 2)

GOGA by Gordana
Okay - it's finally here! I'm done with sorting and browsing through 400+ photos (I really appreciate photgraphers now considering how many photographs they have to take!).
Here's the Part II of the Project Ethos event that was held at the Avalon club (Hollywood, CA) this past Saturday (October 23, 2010). You can read part 1 here! I tried to take all the photos from the designers except one: Marilia - so I can't really say much about that collection. I think I went outside for a break and then when I came back, it was already starting! Talk about timing, huh?
1. Cardiwrap - http://www.cardi-wrap.com/
Show off your back or make it a hood, this Cardiwrap is your one stop destination to versatility. Dang, I couldn't belieeeeve my eyes when I saw how these girls worked the runway by twisting, knotting, and wrapping with just that SAME clothing. Yes, all the gals here were wearing the SAME clothing top. Basically the concept behind this brand is that you can get 50 and MORE looks with just one clothing. Talk about getting your money's worth! $40.00 each!
2. B.Vika (http://www.bvika.net/)
This brand is Indian-Moroccan inspired and it definitely shows in the pieces! Although most of the pieces featured were bikinis/bathing suits, I especially loved the dress at the end. It looks so gorgeous and the detailing of that dress was suppperrrrb!
3. Melissa Velia (http://chu-lacouture.com/)
Her collection's described as "vintage, feminine glam, and modern." Melissa Velia has been working in the fashion industry for about 9 years! She definitely has experience in producing pieces that are suitable for those who love bold, retro styles. Loved the silky and flowy silhouettes.
4. Doctrine (http://www.doctrineapparel.com/)
Here's a brand that featured some great looking guy clothes (and some great looking guys while we're all that, too!). Can we say, major hotness? Wow. Doctrine is more for those who like the wild side since most of their stuff seem to be rock inspired. No hate there - I love wearing motorcross/punk stuff! There were female looks but the guys' outfits seemed to stand out more!
5. Summer Titone (http://www.summertitone.com/) & Janaration Jewelry (http://janaration.com/)
Summer Titone's stuff is exactly what it sounds like - "summery." Their clothes are vintage and are made out of recycled materials! They use natural dying and they seem to care about the earth. Talk about eco-fashion! Also, the models are wearing Janaration Jewelry which their jewelry are inspired by yoga!
6. Annie and Jade (http://www.annieandjade.com/)
The nude jumper really stood out from the rest of the collection. It seems so soft and silky - something I just want to wear to sleep and not needing to change clothes to go to work. Like the previous brand, this Annie and Jade collection includes organic fabrics - making this company eco-friendly as well.
7. Goga by Gordana (http://shopgoga.com/)
Elegant, chic, and modern - that's how I would describe Gordana's collection. If her name sounds familiar you've probably heard it before. Gordana was one of Project Runway's contestants! Unfortunately, I did not see her on the red carpet, but her collection was very polished! I love the models' big hair - seems so fashion forward!
8. Lamixx (http://www.etsy.com/shop/lamixx) Lamixx would probably beat AA to a pulp because designer Jacqueline Rose shows how minimalistic is done! Though the collection did not have any dramatic pieces, it still shows how gals any age can still pull off that casual look without looking too simple.
9. Britboy Fashions (http://www.britboyfashions.com/)
Britboy Fashions - Bringing British fashion to the states! I especially loved the models' makeup (so futuristic - and they had the British flag glittering on the sides of their faces)! This brand also included men in it, but I didn't have great photos of the men! The men also had the same makeup look as the gals! Lovvve.
10. Jaq Wear (http://jaqdwear.com/) Featuring my girl, Mucccci (her name rhymes with Gucci)! Like I said before, Jaq used to make costumes and I can still see a bit of costumewear in her looks! I really love the hooded coat - the colour, texture, and concept is really mesmerizing under all those lights.
11. Hard Couture (http://shophardcouture.com/)
Hard Couture featured a lot of laces and ready-to-wear items. I especially liked the white lace top paired with the floral skirt - very consistent with Los Angeles style.
Celebrity Sightings:
Kelly Nishimoto of E! TV
Miss Arizona Camille Simoine Winbus Omg - that's a lot of photos! Thanks for peering through a part of my life - and I hope you guys enjoyed it and didn't kill me (cause I KNOW THERE ARE LOTS of PICS!). Thanks gals and guys! Until next time...
Remember to read part 1 of this post! Wanna say thanks again to Project Ethos, Nicky Bernal, Erica of Sweets and Hearts, and of course, Giovanna of Boho Market! Great times with y'all!
Have a great night, Lovelies. Own Images
